Wilshire Blvd. is arguably the premier boulevard in Southern California. The Wilshire Corridor is one of the most densely populated corridors in Los Angeles County with perhaps the greatest concentration of employment opportunities and the highest concentration of major activity centers in the region.
The Wilshire Corridor not only includes Downtown Los Angeles and all its economic activity and expanding cultural amenities, it also includes Westlake, MacArthur Park, Koreatown, Larchmont, the Wiltern Theater, Hancock Park, the Miracle Mile, Carthay, the Fairfax District, the Page Museum and the La Brea Tar Pits, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Petersen Automotive Museum, Beverly Hills, Century City, Westwood and the University of California (UCLA), West Los Angeles, the Third Street Promenade and Palisades Park in Santa Monica and, finally, the Pacific Ocean.
